Meet Alyssa

I am a firearms instructor, content creator, business owner, wife, and mother. I’m known as The Gunny Gal on social media, mainly on Instagram and YouTube.

I dove head first into the firearms industry in 2018, and since then I’ve spent years training, competing, creating educational content, and helping everyday gun owners build real confidence with their firearms.

My mission is simple: turning gun owners into gun users. Most people buy a firearm with good intentions, but a majority rarely train with it. I help close that gap by making training feel approachable and by introducing people to the many paths within the firearms world, whether that’s concealed carry, competition, hunting, night vision, long-range shooting, pistols, or whatever direction speaks to them.

Personally, I fell in love with competition. I came from a CrossFit background, but with scoliosis I hit a ceiling with how hard I could push myself physically. The Tactical Games is where I started my competition shooting journey, which gave me a new way to challenge myself without relying solely on fitness. It also allowed me to combine two of my biggest passions: fitness and shooting.

Right now, my classes primarily focus on pistol fundamentals and introducing people to shooting sports. My goal is to give students a strong foundation with their firearm while also showing them that training can be both practical and fun.

Ultimately, my goal is to help other gun owners find their space, train consistently, and actually use the tools they own.
